About North Country Dairy

Located in the middle of the Dairy industry in Northwestern Wisconsin, North Country Dairy is dedicated to providing you the highest quality of cheese made by only the finest cheese makers. All of our cheese is made locally right here in Wisconsin. We provide a variety of cheeses to fit any occasion from your own table to special events! North Country Dairy is a family owned and operated business established in 2007.

History

North Country Packaging was started in 2007 by Kendall & Maria Goossen & their children. Kendall had been working in the Dairy Distribution business since 1992. Through his work in the retail side of the Dairy industry, he was approached with an opportunity of producing the line of North Country Gourmet Cheese spreads. An existing out building on their home place was renovated to make a small cheese factory. They began making small hand crafted batches of North Country Gourmet cheese spreads. Around the same time, Kendall & his business partner in distribution, Dennis Wenger, co-founded the North Country Cheese line. Inspired by the need to provide a consistent, high quality line of Wisconsin made cheeses for their customers!

In 2020 North Country Packaging began doing business as North Country Dairy to reflect our main avenue of business in the Dairy industry. This reflects our mission to provide quality Wisconsin cheese products to our customers through the North Country Cheese line as well as private label to wholesale customers.

Our Products

We offer a wide variety of one pound cheeses. From fresh colby, spicy pepper jack, to cheddars aged up to 10 years.

Our Gourmet Cheese spreads are perfect for entertaining, an after school snack, topping for baked potatoes, or a flavorful sandwich spread. With 20 flavors to choose from you're sure to find one that pleases.   

Fresh curds that “squeak”. Garlic dill, Cajun, or our other flavors to add variety.
